Fashion
Head of Design, Board Member, and Designer, I joined MODA at the University of Chicago as a way to express my creativity in fashion.
MODA is the largest student run fashion organization in Chicago and hosts an annual Fashion Show.
From 2011 - 2015, I designed and handmade four collections that were on display at the every March in Chicago’s Union Station.
2014 - 2015: Paper
An experiment in which I played with mixed materials: paper and cloth.
Look 1: Layered Crumpled Paper | Look 2: Washi Fans | Look 3a & 3b: Origami Butterflies
2013 - 2014: Imperial Vienna
Inspired by my study abroad in Vienna, I drew inspiration from the upholstery from the Imperial Palace, Schönbrunn.
2012 - 2013: Smoke
I have always loved the color and movement of smoke. I tried ambitiously to capture that in this year’s collection. You will see inspiration from Greek togas to Sévérine from Skyfall.
2011 - 2012: A Lady
My very first collection ever. I did not know how to sew or how to design. But, I learned everything on the fly and created a collection on how I thought a lady’s outfit transforms throughout the day: business, gala, and a night out.
